Fun with homemade mini marshmallow shooters... as much fun for the dads as for the kids!
(I think I ate as much ammo as I shot! LOL)

Sidewalk chalk and Nana makes for an entertaining afternoon for Max!
I have to say though, this makes me realize I've been taking an awful lot of pictures
of him these last couple of weeks! I've really got to expand my subject matter!

So proud of himself for climbing to the top of the slide!

In the 2 seconds before snapping this:
"MAX! Don't lick your bubble gun! Bubble juice is NOT for eating!" Sigh.

145/365

Max's first stuffed animal, Blue Dog. They've been together since he first days in his isolette in the NICU, and he doesn't go to bed without him.

It's 1-4-3 Day! (If you don't know, in old pager-speak, 1-4-3 means I Love You)

142/365

We took Max to Tilden Park today, where we rode the trains, went on the carousel
and fed the animals. He just couldn't get enough of this baby lamb we found!

141/365

I took Max to what I will now call "The World's Scariest Playground,"
and this caught Max contemplating climbing to the next
level of one of the structures...

138/365

He just can't resist splashing in every bit of water he comes across,
even if it's just sprinkler runoff in the gutter!

134/365

Going for a walk with Grandpa (Jamie's dad) and PopPop (Jamie's grandpa!)
We've been really lucky to spend a lovely weekend with them
in Half Moon Bay, these last 2 days.

131/365

Max gives Nana a lesson in how to use the Leapster2 she and my dad gave him
for his birthday... I don't think she really got it! LOL

130/365

Spent a little time playing with my tubes and my Mother's Day flowers this
afternoon, and thought this one turned out cool!
I have a serious crush on macro!

129/365 Macro Monday

I wanted something kinda gross, but not too icky, and this actually got less so
once I got up close! It's an eaten corn cob, left from dinner tonight.

128/365

A family hike in the hills above Palo Alto, overlooking the entire Bay Area...
the perfect thing for me to burn off my Mother's Day breakfast in bed!

Friday, May 6, 2011

126/365

I love that Max is finally willing to try some different veggies!
Expanding his horizons beyond chicken and fish sticks!

Thursday, May 5, 2011

125/365

First naptime in his big boy bed! (Really just his crib, but with the front panel taken off)
We'll see how it goes!

124/365

I had my (routine) 6 month kidney biopsy at UCSF yesterday... the actual biopsy is only a few minutes long, followed by 4 HOURS flat on my back. Sigh. I was admitted at 11am, and discharged at 8pm. That's a LOOONG day!

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

123/365

I should be folding the mountain of laundry on the love seat,
but instead I'll take a few minutes for me...

Sunday, May 1, 2011

121/365

We spent the morning at Tilden Park in Berkeley, and got to ride the mini steam
train for the first time! So much fun, for only $2!

120/365

I went through and cleared all of the "baby" toys from Max's stash yesterday; no more Little People or rattles! We've officialy entered the age of choke hazard pieces, and celebrated by bringing out this awesome train set, a hand-me-down from Cousin Faith!
Geoffrey wanted to get in on the action by playing the damsel in distress on the tracks!
